Privacy Notice

This notice explains what data may be collected, how it is used, and when another party may receive it. By using Cross County Busted Mugshots, a visitor accepts these practices. A third-party service controls data entered into its own search box or reached through an outside link.

Information You Submit

A name or location entered into a search tool passes to the outside provider that operates that tool. Cross County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. Messages sent by email or a contact form may be kept long enough to respond and manage the request. They are not shared outside the organization unless a legal duty requires it.

Automatic Technical Data

Normal page delivery can collect technical details such as an IP address, browser and version, device and operating system, pages visited, time spent, referring page, and timestamps. Cookies may help measure how visitors use the site. Browser settings can block cookies, although some site functions may behave differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected data may be used to operate and speed up the site, route a search to the correct partner service, understand which pages are useful, diagnose technical faults, prevent misuse, and display advertising that may reflect visitor interests. It is not used to create official Cross County arrest, jail, or court records.

Outside Websites and Advertising

Links can lead to jail rosters, sheriff and corrections sites, booking resources, government portals, news publishers, and third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy policy governs. Advertising partners may track activity across sites for interest-based ads on their own systems, not as a Cross County government function.

When Data May Be Shared

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may reach search providers that process a query, analytics vendors, advertising networks, service providers needed to operate the site, or law-enforcement and government bodies responding to a valid legal order.

Security Practices

Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect site data. No internet-connected service is fully secure, however, and this notice does not promise that a breach, interception, or technical failure can never occur.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.

Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, a person may ask for a copy of data held about them, correction of inaccurate personal data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. A request may require reasonable identity verification and can be limited by legal duties or technical constraints.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as site practices, vendors, or legal requirements change. A new version takes effect when posted here with an updated effective date.
